Eric Richardson Memorial Trophy

The trophy is given to the Division Three Champions.

Eric Richardson was a Blast Furnace Manager who played table tennis for Normanby Park Works in division three. He was taken ill while playing for NPW against Nypro in 1979 and later died.

Mrs. Chambers presenting Handicap trophy to Ray Leong.
Ray Leong played with Dave Skerratt in the App Frod A team for many years. He was also a top player and always finished with a personal percentage above 90%.
Mrs. Chambers was the wife of John Chambers who had died a couple of years earlier in 1989. John used to play with the Baysgarth team in Barton and was a very popular figure in local table tennis.

Tetsuo Kasahara played in Japan and was ranked in their top 20.
He held a senior management position at Citizen on the Kingsway and after 15 years in retirement from table tennis, joined Hospital 'A' helping them win the Premier league. Tetsuo always had great battles with Dave Skerratt and they came out 50/50 winners.
